Louisiana law requires that all business owners report annually to our office all business assets that are used in their operation. Each year, the Vernon Parish Assessor’s Office mails the appropriate LAT forms to business owners so that they can comply with the law. In most cases, these forms should be forwarded to the accountant and they will handle the rendition for the business. It is the responsibility of the business owner to notify the Assessor’s Office of any address changes.
Provided below are the LAT forms that can be downloaded for your convenience. You may email these completed forms to firstname.lastname@example.org or send them by mail. The forms must be filed with the Assessor’s Office by April 1st of each year. Failure to file such forms with our office could result in increased assessments and also forfeits the business owner’s right to appeal. All forms filed with our office are strictly confidential.
